About Caroline Mozo
Hello! My name is Caroline Mozo and I am a graduate interior design student at Florida State University. I am pursuing my Masters of Fine Arts in Interior Design in order to further my education and conduct research in healthcare and education design. I am simultaneously pursuing my Graduate Certificate in Project Management with the intention of attaining both my NCIDQ and PMP certifications. I aspire to have a fulfilling career in the world of commercial design. My goals include rising in leadership in my firm where I can serve as a mentor to my team and one day returning to academia as a professor where I can serve as a mentor to the next generation of designers.
From early childhood, I have always had a love for art and design and a passion for serving others. When deciding on a career path, there was no question that I needed to be in a career that would allow me to serve others. At the same time, I longed to be in a career that would allow for creative expression; interior design was the perfect marriage of the two.
Outside of interior design, I have several other passions that I pursue. One of my greatest passions is Camp Kesem, a nonprofit organization that serves children who have been affected by a parent’s cancer. I serve as a camp counselor for Florida State University’s Camp Kesem Chapter. After studying abroad during the summer of 2017 as a part of Florida State University’s International Program: Florence, I discovered my passion for travel and other cultures. My other passions include music, fashion, performance art, photography, literature, and the natural world. All of these passions have not only influenced my decision to pursue interior design but continue to influence my designs today.
I look forward to continuing to learn and grow as a designer as I begin my professional career. If you would like to know more about my career interests or aspirations, please do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to hearing from you!
